Founders and Board Members

Jack Patrick Egan
Founder, President

Jack founded Powerfully Positive, Inc. at the age of 16.  He has lived in Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi. Jack currently resides in Tennessee. He likes to spend time with his family and friends, hunt, watch football with his dad, play golf and guitar, travel, and serve in the community. Jack’s commitment to service includes working as a volunteer fire fighter. Throughout his life, Jack has enjoyed playing a variety of team sports, but his passion was split between football and lacrosse. Jack befriended a neighbor battling cancer, Phillip Ryan Robertson, who offered him advice and inspiration. Phillip inspired Jack to reach out to the children at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and serve them rather than worry about Phillip. After Phillip’s death, Jack decided to honor his friend and begin an organization to serve the children at St. Jude as his friend Phillip suggested. On Jack’s 16th birthday, he visited St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and was forever changed by the experience. He thanks Phillip for his inspiration, his selfless example, and the suggestion to, "Help the children at St. Jude, after all, I have lived a full life."

Elizabeth Egan
Secretary

Elizabeth is a native of Louisiana, has lived in many places including Tennessee, but now calls Pennsylvania her home. It has always been her passion to make a positive difference in the lives of children. After graduating from Loyola University New Orleans, she spent time as a nanny, teacher, and human resources assistant before starting a family with her husband Jimmy. Elizabeth homeschooled her three sons and continues to educate her youngest. This organization has allowed her to merge her passions for working with children and service to others. Elizabeth thanks one brave selfless man, Phillip Ryan Robertson, for inspiring her family to reach out to the children at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. She thanks his parents for giving them their blessing to honor Phillip's memory and wish by serving the children through this organization. Elizabeth thanks her son, Jack, for his wish to visit St. Jude for his 16th birthday and deliver the first set of blankets. The experience was life-changing for Elizabeth, her husband, and Jack. She says her son Jack said it best as they were leaving to head home from their tour, "I couldn't think of a better way to spend my 16th birthday. I have done a lot of other things, but none of them has been as meaningful."
